Our new band member – Mikko Heino!
We have even more news for you! As of today, we are proud to announce our new band member – Mikko Heino on vocals!! He brings us experience and enthusiasm and is known from progressive metal and rock bands such as Minutian and Rylos. Join us in welcoming Mikko to the band – and looking forward to things getting rolling… We will be focusing on rehearsing Sub-discography – for UPCOMING GIGS – FINALLY!! – and also going in-depth with composing the 4th album materials forward. Subspace Radio and Eclipse Music
An exiting artist signing announcement!
Subspace Radio has joined the artist roster of Eclipse Music.
Subspace Radio (formed in 2002) is a Finnish modern progressive rock band that has previously released two albums in the 2000’s. The re-formation of the band began a couple of years ago, and Eclipse Music will be releasing the band’s third album “Aika” within the next couple of months – concluding the concept albums trilogy. Says Juha Mattila of Subspace Radio: “Subspace Radio is very proud to be a part of such a prestigious record company roster that Eclipse Music represents. More news will follow shortly on album single releases and confirming the official album release date.”

Dear Sub-friends – Happy holidays and New Year! We are proud to come to you with this update: Our one and only Kimmo Blom delivered today his excellent performance on his two songs. This means that all recording work for the album is complete!! Not to forget the recording wizard Eero Kaukomies and his fantastic work once again!
Next: Final tweaking in mixing and then mastering.
Cannot wait to get this all to you. It is going to be something great I can tell you!!
Our first vocals recording session
Dear Sub-friends and followers! We have been a bit quiet here for a while but definitively not idle, as things have been really progressing well in the background for the upcoming album. We are quite well on our plan and all recordings and mixing will be finalized before end of 2021. The album release is planned for March/April 2022 timeframe and exciting record label news and arrangements will follow a bit later!
Anyhoo – today was an important milestone achievement – our first vocals recording session at the super-professional Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki in the super-professional hands of Mr. Eero Kaukomies. So – now we have 6 out of 8 songs completely recorded, including vocals. Two more and then we are DONE and ready for mastering and album print. What a day it was! Super big thanks to Timo Heinonen Annica Milán Kimmo Blom!!

Remote studio diary #40: Hello sub-friends!! Today’s ear candy was demoing the songs “The day of the brightest colours” and “Radio Silence” by the magnificent Kimmo Blom. Pure excellence, once again!
You know what? The next step is IT. Recording all the vocals of the 6 tracks in studio. Then – mastering – and album printing. How about that?? Mikko Johansson is working on the subspaceradio.fi home page, so it will also launch sooner than later.
That means that the album pre-sale will begin along with the site launch – so stay tuned for more news about the singers’ studio sessions and the next steps!
